Dates are subject to adjustment and are based on candidate availability and business needs. **1.0 Purpose:** To support the design, development, and improvement of tooling used in precision mold and manufacturing operations, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced production environment. **2.0 Responsibilities:** including but not limited to - Support Amcor initiatives to assure a safe working environment - Respond to any emergency or potential emergency following established procedures - Observe, respond, and report to any instance of product, service, or quality systems non conformance - Security diligence: maintain control of keycards, prevent unauthorized entry to facilities by non-Amcor employees, and proper maintenance / security of Amcor equipment - Successfully complete Primary Duties as outlined in 4.0 and associated training **3.0 Authorities:** including but not limited to - Pause activity and notify safety lead in any facility regarding instances of potentially unsafe work environments or employee and supplier practices - Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity of product, service, or quality systems - Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels - Suggest actions for continual improvement to products, processes, or systems and verify the implementation of solutions **4.0 Primary Duties:** including but not limited to - Assist in the design and detailing of injection molds, mold components, and tooling assemblies using CAD software. - Create and update detailed part drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs). - Support engineering changes, revisions, and updates to existing production tooling. - Collaborate with toolmakers, CNC machinists, manufacturing engineers, and production personnel to ensure tooling designs are practical, manufacturable, and cost-effective. - Participate in mold design reviews and manufacturability discussions. - Assist with troubleshooting mold performance issues, including wear, flashing, venting, cooling, and dimensional concerns. - Maintain accurate engineering documentation and revision control within internal systems. - Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities related to tooling and production concerns. - Lead or support continuous improvement projects focused on mold performance, quality, cycle-time reduction, cost savings, or tooling standardization. - Assist with new mold development projects from concept through build, tryout, and production launch. **5.0 Qualifications / Education Required**: - Currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related technical field. - Basic knowledge of CAD software; ability to create and modify 3D models and technical drawings. - Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of engineering fundamentals. - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. **6.0 Preferred Skills / Experience**: - Prior internship, co-op, project, or coursework experience related to tooling, manufacturing, machining, plastics, or mold design. - Familiarity with injection molding processes and mold construction principles. - Understanding of CNC machining, manufacturing processes, or GD&T concepts. - Exposure to root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies. - Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment. - Knowledge of engineering documentation practices, BOM management, and revision control. - Interest in precision tooling, mold design, and advanced manufacturing technologies. # **Our Expectations** We expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
