Pixel Sight is looking for a hands-on Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and help build advanced electro-optical systems for real-world defense applications. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be a key player in our R&D team, responsible for designing, prototyping, and optimizing mechanical systems across multiple product lines. You'll work on everything from cameras and lenses to electromechanical assemblies, ensuring robustness, manufacturability, and performance. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead full-cycle mechanical development from concept to production, driving new generations, design modifications, and field issue resolution. - Design, prototype, and validate solutions while optimizing components for performance and manufacturability. - Create and maintain technical drawings, specifications, and testing protocols. - Own multiple projects end-to-end, solving complex mechanical challenges independently. - Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver integrated, production-ready solutions. - B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering. - 5+ years of experience in mechanical design- Must - Proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM. - Background in manufacturing techniques: CNC, sheet metal, mold design, and 3D printing- Must - Self-starter mentality - you take initiative, solve problems independently, and drive projects forward. - Deep familiarity with mechanical components and material selection. - Experience designing mechanisms and enclosures for harsh environments. - Experience with vibration and shock qualification for systems designed to withstand harsh transport and operating conditions.
