**About the Role** At Worley, we're delivering some of the mining industry's most complex and innovative projects. As a Senior Mechanical & Piping Designer, you'll play a key role in supporting our Mining, Minerals & Metals (MMM) team, delivering high-quality design solutions across studies, FEED, detailed design, brownfield modifications and major project developments. Based in Adelaide, you'll work as part of multidisciplinary project teams, providing technical design expertise and coordinating the development of mechanical and piping design deliverables. This is an opportunity to contribute to projects from concept through to execution while working alongside industry-leading specialists across our global business. **What You'll Do** As a Senior Mechanical & Piping Designer, you will: - Develop and coordinate mechanical and piping design deliverables in accordance with project requirements, company procedures and industry standards. - Produce and review 3D models, equipment layouts, piping routing, isometrics, design drawings and equipment arrangements. - Develop detailed mechanical component models and drawings in collaboration with engineering teams. - Participate in design reviews, model reviews, constructability assessments and interdisciplinary coordination activities. - Support the delivery of both brownfield and greenfield mining and minerals projects across all phases of execution. - Prepare piping general arrangement drawings, isometrics, support details and plot plans. - Coordinate design interfaces across process, structural, civil, electrical and instrumentation disciplines. - Integrate vendor and third-party models into federated project models. - Conduct clash detection and model quality reviews to ensure design integrity. - Contribute to design solutions that optimise safety, operability, maintainability and constructability. - Collaborate effectively with customers, suppliers, contractors and project stakeholders. - Support knowledge sharing, continuous improvement initiatives and global delivery collaboration. **What You'll Bring** We're looking for a collaborative and technically capable designer with experience delivering mechanical and piping solutions within the mining sector. You will bring: - A Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Engineering Design, Mechanical Engineering, Drafting or a related discipline. - Significant experience in mechanical and piping design within Mining, Minerals & Metals projects. - Experience supporting FEED, detailed design, EPCM, construction support and commissioning activities. - Demonstrated experience across one or more of the following: - Mineral processing plants - Hydrometallurgical or pyrometallurgical facilities - Comminution and screening circuits - Bulk materials handling systems and mobile equipment - Underground, surface and IPCC mining operations - Shaft hoisting and ventilation systems - Non-process mining infrastructure, workshops and fuel facilities - Water, wastewater, slurry infrastructure, pumping systems and pipelines - Package engineering and major equipment procurement - Experience using one or more of the following design platforms: - E3D - SP3D - Plant 3D - AutoCAD - Navisworks - MicroStation You will also have: - Strong technical and problem-solving capabilities. - Excellent communication and coordination skills. - The ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary project teams. - A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
