***What you will do:*** Provides drafting and design support for engineering departments by assuming full drafting and/or some design responsibility for assigned projects. May have responsibility for CAD deliverables to the customer, layout/packaging coordination, release coordination (using EPIC), and CAD studies. ***How you will do it:*** - Develop and review detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and equipment specifications. - Perform HVAC load calculations, hydraulic calculations, pump head calculations, pipe sizing, and chilled water/condensate water system design. - Prepare technical proposals, bill of materials (BOM), equipment selections, and tender documentation. - Ensure all HVAC designs comply with ASHRAE standards, local building codes, and corporate engineering guidelines. - Coordinate with internal teams (sales, project management, solutions engineering) to support pre‑sales and project execution. - Review and validate engineering designs from consultants, contractors, and partners. - Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers. - Conduct site assessments, attend technical meetings, and support design reviews. - Support troubleshooting and commissioning activities related to HVAC and hydronic systems. - Meeting with clients and design teams to determine mechanical applications and requirements. - Review and understand mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs. ***What we look for:*** - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. - Minimum **5 years** experience in HVAC system design, including chilled water systems or condenser system design. - Strong understanding of HVAC system fundamentals, equipment selection, and controls integration. - Hands‑on proficiency in HVAC design software (Revit, AutoCAD). - Familiarity with performing hydraulic calculations and using tools/spreadsheets for pump head computation. - Knowledge of relevant standards (ASHRAE, ISO, local mechanical codes). - Experience delivering medium to large‑scale commercial or industrial projects. - Strong documentation, communication, and coordination skills. - Professional certification (SCEM, LEED AP) is an advantage.
