If so, APEX is currently accepting applications for a Drafting Technologist within its **Steel Door Manufacturing Group.** This is a **full-time, permanent position** reporting to the **Production Manager.** The primary role of this position is to plan and organize orders for use in the plant. **Responsibilities:** - Organize, produce shop drawings and documents for manufacturing use. - Plan projects to maximize productivity in the shop and to customer delivery requirements. - Continuously look for ways to improve the detail on drawings for shop use. - Creating custom designs using Autodesk Inventor. **Qualifications:** - College diploma (i.e. PTech, CET), University degree, or the equivalent work experience would be considered an asset. - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. - A manufacturing or drawing design background. - Background in Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar 3D mechanical CAD software - Strong background in excel. - Strong attention to detail. - Ability to work in a fast-changing environment under tight deadlines. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Highly motivated with strong organizational skills & problem-solving abilities. **Why Become an APEXer?** Join a team that's building the future of advanced manufacturing while investing in the people who make it possible.
