As a **CAD Project Engineer with Shaw Sports Turf®**, you’ll help transform project plans and creative field concepts into the technical drawings, layouts and manufacturing instructions needed to build synthetic turf fields. You’ll work across Sales, Operations and Manufacturing while developing hands-on experience in CAD design, sports field layouts, turf systems and project execution. They're helping become actual playing surfaces used by athletes and communities. **What You’ll Do** In this role, you’ll develop the technical foundation to support synthetic turf projects from design through execution. You’ll: - Create shop drawings, field renderings and tufting instructions for synthetic turf projects with guidance from experienced team members. - Prepare quantity takeoffs and material calculations to support accurate project planning. - Review project plans, specifications and scopes of work to help ensure designs meet project requirements. - Learn sports field layouts, dimensions, governing standards and Shaw Sports Turf product systems. - Support assigned distributor accounts and assist with project execution. - Help design and execute Game On® field projects, building experience with customized field graphics, markings and layouts. - Partner with Sales, Operations and Manufacturing to move projects from concept to finished product. - Maintain accurate project information, distributor notes and supporting documentation. - Continue developing expertise in AutoCAD, internal systems and project workflows. - Take on increasing project ownership as your technical knowledge and experience grow. **Qualifications:** - Associate's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Design or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Entry-level experience through up to three years of relevant CAD drafting experience. - Working knowledge of AutoCAD. - Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and technical drawings. - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. **What Will Help You Succeed** You'll be successful in this role if you: - Take ownership and follow through on commitments. - Pay close attention to the details that make a design accurate and buildable. - Communicate clearly across technical and non-technical teams. - Use good judgment and ask thoughtful questions. - Take initiative rather than waiting for the next assignment. - Enjoy learning new products, systems and technical concepts. **Why Shaw?** This is more than an opportunity to build CAD experience.
