This position requires a strong aptitude for drafting, coupled with a commitment to hard work and a desire to grow into a key contributor within our company. You will collaborate closely with our Sales Department, which includes Sales Representatives, Project Managers, Estimators, and fellow CAD Draftsmen. Responsibilities include performing administrative tasks, maintaining and managing project documentation, responding to project-related queries, and consistently updating drawings for sales team members and the company website. This role carries significant responsibility and requires exceptional drafting skills, strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You will work directly with clients and internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality work. **Job Duties and Responsibilities:** ● Utilize CAD software, including ALLPLAN and Titan, to produce precise CAD drawings from plans, details, and verbal instructions. ● Create, revise, and maintain standard details for use in various projects. ● Perform thorough reviews and checks of sketches and drawings to ensure accuracy before submission to project managers and subcontractors. ● Print CAD drawings in multiple formats and packages, ensuring timely delivery to the appropriate contacts. ● Organize and manage all CAD drawings, maintaining a well-structured and accessible server system. ● Collaborate seamlessly with project managers, subcontractors, and engineers to develop high-quality drawings. ● Apply creative and critical thinking to support the project team during the design process. ● Interpret construction plans, particularly for underground wet and dry utilities, to extract and apply relevant information. ● Use MS Office Suite, Adobe, and Titan to prepare project documentation. ● Continuously update project drawings to reflect the latest requirements and revisions. ● Demonstrate excellent telephone and customer service skills when interacting with clients and team members. ● Communicate effectively with engineers, sales teams, and project managers to clarify unclear information. ● Organize and upload drawings to web-based platforms or collaboration sites to share with project managers, sales teams, and subcontractors. ● Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and team members to ensure project success. ● Provide administrative support for team projects, including reviewing plans and performing take-offs to create detailed drawings. **Ideal Candidate Skills and Qualifications:** ● Prior drafting experience preferred; proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD, ALLPLAN, or Revit, with the ability to efficiently produce accurate technical drawings. ● Demonstrates a passion for delivering high-quality work. ● Preferred experience in a manufacturing or construction office support role. ● Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to innovate and solve complex technical challenges. ● Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced work environment. ● Skilled in analyzing design sketches and specifications to create precise technical drawings. ● Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. ● Effective time management and sound decision-making abilities. ● Self-motivated and proactive, capable of working independently without constant guidance. ● Resilient under pressure and able to maintain focus during high-stress situations. ● Strong work ethic with the ability to excel during peak workloads. ● Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate with several managers simultaneously.
