Wing

Wing Aviation LLC, a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc., specializes in autonomous drone delivery systems and unmanned traffic management solutions. Based in Mountain View, California, Wing operates globally, providing services in Australia, the U.S., and Europe. The company has successfully completed over 50,000 deliveries since its inception as a Google X project, becoming an independent entity in 2018.Wing offers lightweight, automated drones that deliver small packages, such as food and healthcare supplies, directly to customers in as little as 15 minutes. Their unmanned traffic management platform ensures safe navigation for drones, avoiding obstacles and other aircraft. Businesses can integrate Wing’s delivery services into their applications through an API, facilitating efficient order fulfillment. The drones operate at speeds of 130 km/h and have a 20 km round-trip range, all while aiming to reduce CO₂ emissions associated with traditional delivery methods. Wing's approach minimizes the need for major infrastructure changes, utilizing curbside pickup stations for package loading.
