Thea Energy is a fusion energy company based in the U.S., founded in 2022 as a spin-out from the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory and Princeton University. Headquartered in Kearny, New Jersey, with an office in Princeton, the company focuses on developing a scalable, zero-emission fusion power system through innovative stellarator design.Thea Energy's key technology is its planar coil stellarator architecture, which utilizes simple, mass-producible planar electromagnetic coils. This design enhances construction efficiency, magnetic field precision, and maintenance access. The company is working on the Eos Neutron Source, a sub-breakeven fusion device that produces neutrons for industrial and medical applications.
