Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Draftsman – Structural to prepare and coordinate high-quality structural drawings for construction projects. The role will work closely with Engineering, Technical, Architectural, MEP, and Site teams to ensure drawings are accurate, coordinated, and aligned with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed structural shop drawings, including foundations, columns, beams, slabs, walls, and staircases.
- Produce reinforcement details, sections, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Review IFC drawings, structural designs, specifications, and consultant requirements.
- Coordinate structural drawings with Architectural and MEP disciplines to identify and resolve clashes.
- Incorporate consultant comments and issue revised drawings within required timelines.
- Work closely with Structural Engineers, Technical Managers, and site teams to resolve drawing and constructability issues.
- Maintain accurate drawing revisions, registers, and documentation.
- Ensure all drawings comply with approved designs, specifications, and project requirements.
Qualifications
- Diploma or technical qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering, Drafting, or related discipline.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in structural drafting.
- Experience working with a main contractor / general contracting company is strongly preferred.
- Strong experience in structural shop drawings and reinforcement detailing.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Good understanding of IFC drawings, construction drawings, and multidisciplinary coordination.
- UAE/GCC construction experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of Revit Structure / BIM is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple drawing submissions and deadlines.
