Senior Design Engineer
Core Responsibilities
- Panel Design: Create Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), general arrangement layouts, and schematic wiring diagrams using tools like AutoCAD or EPLAN.
- Component Selection: Choose correct breakers, relays, PLCs, VFDs, and busbars based on load and short-circuit calculations.
- Documentation: Generate Bill of Materials (BOM), cable schedules, and terminal lists for manufacturing.
- Compliance: Ensure all designs follow safety rules and industry standards like IEC or IS.
- Collaboration: Support production, testing, and procurement teams during assembly and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Drawing Creation: Build 2D/3D general arrangement (GA) drawings, wiring diagrams, and terminal strip layouts using tools like AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
- Documentation: Generate accurate Bill of Materials (BOM), cable schedules, and revision records.
- Compliance: Ensure designs follow industry codes and standards like IEC, NEC, or UL.
- Collaboration: Work with Customer/Sales to understand the Project Requirements & Speciation and Work with shop floor, production, and project management teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
