RCS Construction is seeking a Construction Drafter / Designer to prepare accurate construction drawings and renderings using Revit. This role works closely with management, customers, and project teams to develop and revise designs that support successful construction projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collect data and gather information or documents for construction and architectural projects.
  • Prepare detailed construction drawings and site plans, including foundation plans, floor plans, elevations, and electrical, HVAC, and plumbing layouts.
  • Collaborate with management, customers, vendors, and project teams to review requirements, communicate design concepts, and revise drawings.
  • Research and coordinate product and finish selections, including related specifications.
  • Maintain organized, accurate drawings, revisions, and related project documentation.
  • Support team in daily planning, coordination and completion of projects as needed.
  • Prepare and revise drawings in accordance with applicable building codes, project specifications, and company standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and follow-up skills.
  • Knowledge of residential and commercial construction practices.
  • Comfortable learning and using new technology and software.
  • Proficiency with Revit required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as required.

Education and Experience:

  • Previous experience with residential and commercial construction drawings is preferred.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in drafting, architectural technology, architecture, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.
