BIM Designer - MEP

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BIM Designer – HVAC to join our MEP Team at Axium Global’s Delivery Centre in Andheri, Thane or Pune.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing accurate and detailed 3D BIM models of mechanical HVAC systems in accordance with project requirements and international standards. The selected candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and leading MEP design consulting firms across the UK, USA, Australia and the UAE on various prestigious projects.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for mechanical HVAC systems in accordance with project requirements and standards.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and contractors to ensure seamless integration of HVAC designs with other MEP disciplines, structural and architectural components.
• Conduct clash detection and coordination reviews using BIM software to identify and resolve potential conflicts between HVAC systems and other building elements.
• Prepare detailed design documentation, including shop drawings, construction drawings, as-built drawings and layout plans.
• Understand and interpret various MEP drawings, plans, sections and specifications.
• Apply relevant building codes, industry standards and project-specific requirements while developing HVAC designs.
• Demonstrate sound knowledge of building services, including HVAC systems, mechanical pipework for heating and cooling, ventilation and associated services.
• Assist in preparing project documentation and reports related to HVAC system design and coordination.
• Coordinate with internal teams and international stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate project deliverables.
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies and software advancements related to BIM and HVAC design.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or a related field.
• ITI/NCTVT-certified HVAC, Electrical or Plumbing Draftsman with relevant experience may also be considered.
• 3–5 years of experience in MEP design, specifically focusing on HVAC systems.
• Proficiency in BIM methodologies and relevant BIM software.
• Good understanding of HVAC systems, MEP drawings and building services.
• Knowledge of international building codes and design standards will be an added advantage.
• Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and meet project deadlines.

Compensation:
