Vaeridion

VÆRIDION is an aviation company based in Munich, Bavaria, founded in 2021 by former Airbus managers Ivor van Dartel and Dr. Sebastian Seemann. The company is dedicated to transforming short-haul air travel with its focus on sustainable, zero-emission electric aircraft. With a team of 48 employees, VÆRIDION aims to make affordable regional flights a reality.The company's flagship product is the Microliner, a patented electric Conventional Take-Off and Landing (eCTOL) aircraft designed for short-haul commercial flights. Initially configured as a nine-seater, the Microliner has a nominal range of 400 km and features advanced battery-wing integration. VÆRIDION is actively working with regulatory bodies to ensure a smooth certification process and has plans for prototype flights by 2027, with commercial operations expected to begin in 2030. Notably, VÆRIDION has secured significant funding, including €14 million in a Series A round, to support its mission in sustainable aviation.
