Defense Health Agency

The Defense Health Agency is a joint, integrated Combat Support Agency within the Department of Defense that has a mission to improve health and build readiness. We do this by: • Overseeing the delivery of health care services such as the TRICARE Health Plan, pharmacy, dental, public health, medical research and development, and health information technology.• Supporting the Combatant Commanders and the Joint Force with education and training, management of the Armed Services Blood Program, and coordination of the $11 billion/year medical supply chain. With a global workforce of 140,000 civilians and military personnel, we serve 9.5 million beneficiaries with an unwavering commitment to making extraordinary experiences ordinary and exceptional outcomes routine.
