Job Title: AutoCAD Technician / Drafter Location: Austin, Texas Type: Contract (12 months) Work Model: Onsite About the Role Seeking experienced AutoCAD Technicians/Drafters to support ongoing modernization efforts within our client's engineering department. This team is focused on improving and streamlining utility design workflows. This is a fully onsite role based in Austin, Texas. Key Responsibilities Produce detailed utility design drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Interpret and integrate various data formats, including ArcGIS datasets, into design workflows. Support engineering teams by preparing, revising, and finalizing technical drawings. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal drafting standards. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to support ongoing modernization initiatives. Maintain organized documentation and version control for all design files. Required Skills & Experience 3-5 years of drafting experience (not an entry-level role). Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D with strong utility design experience. Familiarity with GIS data formats, including ArcGIS. Ability to work with diverse data sources and integrate them into design workflows. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
